Configuration sections

Domain

By default, MCP server endpoints are served from appatools.com. Optional: set a custom domain to serve endpoints from your own domain.

Tools

Choose which of the 10 available tools your users can access. All tools are enabled by default — disable specific ones to focus the experience on what matters for your use case. A minimum of 3 tools is required.

Sources

Control which source types are available: websites, GitHub repos, documentation sites, API endpoints, PDFs, or MCP servers. At least 1 source type must be enabled.

Colors

Match your brand with 10 customizable color options covering background, text, buttons, cards, steppers, and accents. Use hex color values.

Layout

Choose between horizontal (steps across the top) or vertical (steps along the left side) wizard layout.

Font

Select from 15 Google Fonts to match your application's typography.

Analytics

Turn on Include analytics step in wizard to add an analytics step to the embedded wizard, then pick the tier your end users receive: Core, Action, or Predictive.

This setting decides what end users see in their dashboard for servers they deploy through your embed. They receive the lower of the tier you pay for and the tier you expose here, so turning the toggle on does not by itself unlock a paid tier. During your 30-day trial, whatever you select is what they get.

Below the tier picker you can customize the dashboard itself:

  • Which cards appear, grouped by the tier that includes them. Cards above your selected tier stay visible but cannot be enabled, so it is clear what upgrading adds.
  • How it looks. By default the dashboard inherits the colors and font you set for the wizard. Turn that off to give it its own background, surface, text, and accent colors and its own font.

The same subscription also unlocks business intelligence about your whole integration at Portal → Embed Usage. See Analytics and observability.

Save the configuration

Click Save Configuration in the configurator to persist your settings. The embed snippet updates automatically to reflect your choices. Only non-default values are included in the snippet.

tip

You can also manage configurations programmatically via the API.
